The in-memory database SAP HANA is the foundation of modern SAP installations. It is therefore all the more important to convert existing systems to HANA as efficiently as possible. Our customer, a company from the specialty chemicals industry, approached us with the task of migrating an in-house dispatch engine add-on based on SAP HANA to the SAP SEM-BCS solution. Xient GmbH, specializing in group consolidation, was the right person for the job.

Group ready for the future of HANA

As part of the modernization, Xient GmbH developed a fully HANA-compatible solution. This replaces the group's previous custom submission engine. The engine used has proven itself at the highest level for one of our customers. Of course, we adapted the recording engine to the new customer's requirements and optimized it for SAP HANA.

As part of the architecture's HANA migration, our developers created extensive scripts and test procedures. With them, the technology change was clean and seamless. From the initial analysis of the existing systems to the transformation into a modern target architecture, all steps were developed and accompanied down to the finest detail by Xient developers, who were in constant communication with the decision-makers in the group. Thanks to HANA compatibility, the result of successful collaboration is a modern and future-oriented group consolidation system.
