Reducing carbon emissions is at the heart of this challenge and companies have certain obligations in this regard. In this article, we will examine the legal obligations of companies to reduce carbon emissions, current as of July 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>International Obligations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>a) Paris Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/sites\/default\/files\/english_paris_agreement.pdf\">Paris Agreement<\/a>is a global climate agreement adopted in 2015 and signed by 196 countries.
